Vincenzo Gentile, a life-long Darien resident passed away peacefully at his home on March 26, 2024, he was 96.

Born in Grotteria Reggio Calabria, Italy, on August 6, 1927, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose(Paretta)Gentile.

Vincenzo was a self-employed Mason. He is survived by his loving wife, Assunta. He is also survived by his children; Joseph Gentile (Lasmares Silva) of Stamford CT, Daughter Maria Rose Gentile of Darien and son Richard(Maria) also of Darien. Vincenzo is also survived by Grandchildren; Christopher Joseph Gentile, Alexander Scott Gentile and his wife Sarah, Sean Vincent Gentile and wife Holly, Cassidy Ann Matthews and her husband Joseph, Jennifer Silva Gentile, Lila Silva Gentile, Anthony Gentile, Stephanie Gentile, Rachel Gentile, and Laci Gentile.

Vincenzo is also survived by Great Grandchildren; Graham Gentile, Theodore Gentile, Penelope Matthews, and Laurel Matthews.

Visitation will be held at the Lawrence Funeral Home 2119 Post Rd Darien CT on Tuesday April 2, 2024 from 9:00AM-10:00AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas More RC Church, 374 Middlesex Rd. Darien at 10:30AM, followed by burial at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
